Melting is in electric coreless induction furnaces.
Craneage of 10 tonne, and 2 x 5 tonne in main bay.

Non- Destructive Testing
Radiography
On site Ir 192 & Co 60 gamma radiation sources film processing and viewing facilities.
Also offer high voltage X-Ray services for thicker cross sections and gamma radiography of larger parts.
In house procedures compliant to NES 729 Pt1
PCN & ASNT Level I & Level II qualified operators

Dye Penetrant testing
Procedures and operators for solvent and water washable colour contrast systems.
In house procedures for NES 729 Pt4 and MIL STD 271 testing of castings and wrought products.
PCN & ASNT Level I & Level II qualified operators

Ultrasonic Testing
Procedures and operators for ultrasonic defect detection and thickness checking.
PCN & ASNT Level II qualified operators
Materials testing
Chemical Analysis
10 sample Bruker AXS XRF chemical analysis facility on site along with LECO analysers for Nitrogen, Sulphur, Carbon and Oxygen.

Tensile, Impact and hardness testing
Computer controlled tensile testing facility, IZOD impact testing and Brinell hardness machine on site.

Magnetic Permeability & Conductivity
On site equipment for measurement of Magnetic Permeability & Conductivity
Weld repair
Coded welders and approved weld procedures for most alloys on our Alloy list.
Heat Treatment
On site heat treatment furnace validated to NES 746 for use with NES 747 series materials and NES 824. Furnace used also for cycle required for ASTM C95800 material.
